Online Seminar of the Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN) on 16 May 2026

On May 20, 2026 , the Independent Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA) participated in an online seminar titled “Academic Integrity in Higher Education,” organized by the Global Academic Integrity Network (GAIN).

The event was moderated by Dr. Andy Smith, Quality and Standards Manager at the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

The seminar featured presentations on the following topics:

• “The impact at institutional level of the voluntary Academic Integrity, Charter in the UK” – Nick Watmough (QAA), Simon Bullock (QAA), and Inchara Athreya (University of Warwick);
• “Assurances of learning in fully online credentialed programs” – Professor Mollie Dollinger (Curtin University);
• “Communication & Engagement update” – Laura Flynn, representative of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI).

The seminar served as a platform for professional exchange of experiences and discussion of current trends in the development of the education quality assurance system within the European Higher Education Area.
