Meeting with "Alliance of students of Kazakhstan"

On October 1, 2019 in the Independent Agency for quality assurance in education (IQAA) a meeting of representatives of the student movement "Alliance of students of Kazakhstan" (ASK) with the President of IQAA - Sholpan Kalanova and head of the Department of accreditation of universities and research institutes - Zhanna Akhmadieva took place. "Alliance of students of Kazakhstan" was represented by President - Ilyas Tustikbayev, Executive Director - Salyk Nazgul, chief of staff - Ulzhan Tagay and Manager - Zhangir Tanirbergenov.
The meeting discussed issues such as the possibility of joining the Alliance of students of Kazakhstan in the European Students’ Union (ESU), the development of potential and educational opportunities of students of Kazakhstan, the role of students in the modern education system and others. Also, Sholpan Kalanova presented to the President of ASK two Guides for student experts involved in the procedures of institutional and specialized accreditation, written by the European Students’ Union and translated by IQAA.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed. The subject of the Memorandum is the establishment of partnerships and cooperation aimed at ensuring quality in education.
In addition, a student representative was nominated to the IQAA Accreditation Council.
