Mass Media about the forum held by the Agency

On September 16, 2019, the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) held the II Annual Eurasian Forum on Quality Assurance in Education "Transformation through Digitalization: Universities and Quality Assurance" at the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC).
Guests and speakers from foreign countries, as well as representatives of Kazakhstani universities and the labor market, attended the forum. In addition, the annual Eurasian forum has become a center of interest of the mass media, which widely covered the issues and topics discussed at the forum. Among the mass media representatives who attended the event and shared news about the annual Eurasian forum were newspapers "Egemen Kazakhstan", "Zan Gazeti", news agency "Kazinform", TV channels "Khabar 24", "Eurasia", and others.
In addition to the coverage of the forum in the newspapers and news of the channels, the second annual Eurasian forum "Transformation through Digitalization: Universities and Quality Assurance" became the main theme in the issue of the program "Urban environment" on the channel "Khabar 24". The TV program discussed the topics of digitalization and quality assurance in education. The release touched on relevant topics in the field of education, in particular, innovations aimed at automating educational services, recent trends and plans for their development.
The release includes interviews with several key speakers of the second annual Eurasian forum. Zhaksybek Kulekeev, the Chairman of the IQAA Supervisory Board, shares his opinion that, thanks to digitalization, Kazakhstani citizens will have the opportunity to get an education in any world University without leaving their home. Zhaksybek Kulekeev underlined that Kazakhstani Universities need to be ready for any innovations in the field of digitalization. The annual format of the Eurasian forum will help Kazakh Universities to keep abreast of the latest news and trends in higher education and learn about the experience of European colleagues and partners.
Sayasat Nurbek, another key speaker of the forum, director of BTS Education, assured that digitalization would not completely replace the traditional method, but will facilitate the work of the teacher and help to diversify teaching methods. Sholpan Kalanova, President of IQAA, pointed out that despite the fact that Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan's educational institutions are actively seeking to introduce and develop digitalization, the quality of digital education is still the main topic of discussion and in need for solutions.
