By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev dated on June 12, 2019, Mr. Askhat Aimagambetov was appointed as Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
While being in the position of Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan from August 2017 to January 2019, Mr. Aimagambetov headed the working group on the development of the draft law «On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the expansion of academic and managerial independence of higher educational institutions».
Mr. Aimagambetov provided support in improving the accreditation of higher educational institutions in Kazakhstan. In particular, Mr. Askhat Aimagambetov delivered a welcoming speech at the following events organized by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education: Eurasian Forum on Quality Assurance in Education "Forward to the future: trends, problems and perspectives of quality assurance in higher education" (September 20-21, 2018) and the 9th General Assembly for members of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (October 18-19, 2018).
The team of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education congratulates Mr. Askhat Aimagambetov on his new appointment and wishes him fruitful work!
Furthermore, the Agency wishes the ex-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ms. Kulyash Shamshidinova good health and new achievements for the benefit of the education of our country.
