President Nursultan Nazarbayev delivered the annual Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan "Growing welfare of Kazakh citizens: increase in income and quality of life"

On October 5, 2018, at 11-00, the whole team of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education gathered to watch the live broadcast of the Khabar TV channel of the next Presidential address to the nation of Kazakhstan "Growth of Kazakhstan Welfare: Increasing Income and Quality of Life".

Presidential address was heard with great interest. Special attention in the current Presidential address was focused on issues related to the fields of education and science.

The staff of the Agency supports the initiatives of the Head of state and will implement the tasks in terms of promoting the quality of higher education.

In General, the Address includes six priorities in the development of the country for the coming year:
I. Growing income of the population.
II. Increase in quality of life.
III. Creating a comfortable living environment.
IV. Citizen-oriented state apparatus.
V. Effective foreign policy.
VI. Engagement of every Kazakh citizen in transformation of the country.

In the Address in the issue of improving the quality of life focuses on a number of important tasks, in particular, the need to bring budget expenditures, including education, science and health care, up to 10% from the GDP within 5 years, as well as to increase the quality of training requirements in higher education institutions. At the same time, President N. Nazarbayev emphasized that the employment of graduates of higher education institutions for high-paying jobs will be the main criterion for assessing the success of the University. In this regard, the Head of State noted that the policy of their consolidation will be carried out in order to ensure the provision of high quality education in the market of educational services.

In addition, the President also spoke out about the importance of attracting the best foreign top managers to work in Kazakhstan universities, following the example of Nazarbayev University. This university is a model for the creation of a new regional university, the need for which was pronounced by the Head of state.
