The President of the IQAA, Professor Sh. Kalanova delivered lectures for attendees of Nazarbayev University

On June 29, 2018 the President of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA), Professor, Dr.Sc. Sh. Kalanova delivered lectures for attendees of Nazarbayev University on"Leadership in Education", where the topics "European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and the role of the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR)" and "Best Examples of Internal Quality Assurance Systems and their Monitoring in Foreign Universities" have been discussed.

During the first lecture, the general provisions of the quality assurance system in higher education were outlined. In particular, information on the development of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area and the role of the European Quality Assurance Register was presented.

The second lecture provided an overview of the best examples of internal quality assurance systems in foreign universities and the analysis of case studies of such universities as Vienna University of Economics and Business, Xiamen University, Talca University and the University of Duisburg-Essen.
