On 13 July 2017 the President of IQAA held a business meeting with a delegation of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China headed by Ms Zhou Yan

The meeting was also attended by the President-Rector of Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications named after M. Tynyshpayev, B.Kuanyshev, Vice-Rector for Reseach and International Relations at Karaganda State Industrual University, A.Aikeyeva, Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development at Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute, T.Akhmetov, Director of Akmolinsk College under the Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications named after M. Tynyshpayev, E.Auyesbayev, heads of subdivisions from 6 higher education institutions, who deal with the issues of international cooperation, organization of the learning process and academic mobility.

The President of IQAA S.Kalanova welcomed participants of the meeting and presented guests the information on the development of the national system of education quality assurance, including activities by IQAA, stressing the statistics and dynamics of indicators for a higher education system during the whole period of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In her turn, the Deputy Secretary General of CEAIE, Ms Zhou Yan presented a country review of the system of higher education, noted the cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the field of education under the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" and introduced the directions of CEAIE's activities, paying the most attention to the main one, which is education quality assurance of foreign students in Chine.

The President-Rector of Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications named after M. Tynyshpayev, B.Kuanyshev shared the experience of his university on cooperation with China.

The head of the delegation Ms Zhou Yan informed the IQAA staff and educational organizations about the arrangement of the China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo in October 2017 and invited all attendees to take part in this conference.
