On June 2, 2016 a group of participants from the British Council programme visited the Independent Kazakh Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA)

A group of participants of the programme on student mobility sponsored by the British Council and organized by Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education in cooperation with the University of Oxford visited IQAA with the purpose to learn about activities of the agency and accreditation procedures of educational organizations in Kazakhstan. In the framework of the visit by delegation, the President of IQAA, Professor Kalanova Sh., conducted a seminar for participants of the programme, during which she told in brief about the system of higher education in Kazakhstan, mechanisms of quality assurance in education, and described activities of IQAA.

Seminar was attended by representatives of national and foreign HEIs, PhD students, research fellows and professors. Presentation of the IQAA President raised a great interest among the visitors, who took the opportunity to ask some questions of their interest. In the end of the seminar, a group coordinator Doctor Aisi Li, Assistant Professor –from Nazarbayev University, presented a certificate of gratitude for cooperation in the framework of the British Council programme, an opportunity to visit the agency and conduct of the informational seminar.
