Training seminar for experts on March 19, 2025.

On March 19, 2025, IQAA held an online seminar for experts in the sphere of accreditation and external quality assessment of secondary education. The event was attended by the directors of a schools, deputies of directors for educational and disciplinary work, methodologists of schools and district departments of education, as well as teachers. Participants were from such cities as Astana, Almaty, Oskemen, Aktobe, Shymkent, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Zhezkazgan.

The seminar was opened by the President of the IQAA, Professor Sholpan Kalanova, with a welcoming speech and a report on the topic "Accreditation: modern challenges and realities". In her speech, the President emphasized the key aspects of the quality of education and prospects for its improvement.

The seminar participants were able to ask questions and exchange views.

The next block of the seminar was familiarization with the requirements for expert commissions, organization and conducting of external evaluation, as well as the formation of reports on the results of external evaluation. A presentation on this topic was made by the Director of the Department of Accreditation of Preschool and Secondary Education the IQAA Assel Makazhanova.

Chief expert of the IQAA Bibigul Mukalykova explained in details to the participants about the standards of institutional accreditation of secondary education organizations.

In addition to the issue of forming external evaluation reports, Gulmira Zhumadilova, Director of the Department of Analysis and Quality of the IQAA, presented an analysis of external evaluation reports, identified typical errors and suggested ways to avoid them.

In the second half of the seminar, a practical part was held, which included the implementation of group tasks and their discussion.

At the end of the training seminar, participants will be issued certificates.
