On February 20, 2025, a training seminar for employees was held at IQAA. The seminar was conducted by Slovenian politician, statesman, diplomat, physicist, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, and Director of the Slovenian Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (NAKVIS), as well as a member of the Supervisory Board of IQAA, Franci Demšar.
The seminar reviewed current trends in the field of accreditation and external quality assurance, with an emphasis on the methodology of thematic analysis, ensuring transparency in accreditation processes, and compliance with international ESG standards. Attention was also given to important topics such as open access to scientific publications, the importance of high-quality expertise, and strict peer review to protect academic reputation from predatory publications.
During the discussions, the participants actively asked questions about thematic analysis, the international experience of independent accreditation, methods of external quality assessment, and more. Dr. Franci Demšar answered the questions in detail and shared examples from NAKVIS's practice.
IQAA President Sholpan Murtazovna Kalanova expressed gratitude to Dr. Franci Demšar for his valuable contribution to the professional development of IQAA employees and the exchange of international experience.
Following the seminar, certificates will be issued to the participants.
