On November 18, 2023, Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University celebrated its 80th anniversary. The ceremonial meeting dedicated to the anniversary was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek and the akim of the Shymkent city Gabit Syzdykbekov.
The program of the solemn anniversary consisted of the following events:
- Laying flowers at the monument to Mukhtar Auezov;
- "Green Challenge": tree planting ceremony;
- The ceremonial part (official congratulations, presentations by speakers);
- International Forum "Education, Science and Innovation";
- Opening of named audiences;
- Opening of scientific laboratories:
- Laboratory "Food Biotechnology"
- Laboratory "Modeling of processes and devices of chemical production"
- Laboratory "Auezov REILEAP leather center"
- Complex for the development of effective technologies for the preparation of drinking water - International Scientific and Practical Conference "Industrial Technologies and Engineering"
- XV International Nadir Readings "Scientific and technological development of the oil and gas complex"
The president of IQAA, Professor, PhD – Sholpan Kalanova, who is an honorary graduate of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University, took part in the solemn event and presented a congratulatory address to the university management on behalf of the Agency.
