On the eve of Republic Day, the President signed a Decree on the awarding of state awards, according to the Akorda website.
On the eve of the national holiday, by decree of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a large group of citizens have been awarded state honours for their significant contribution to the country's socio-economic and cultural development, the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between peoples and active involvement in public life.
Among them, Zhaksybek Abdrakhmetovich Kulekeev, a well-known economist, public figure and chairman of the IQAA Supervisory Board, was awarded the Order of Barys Third Class.
Zhaksybek Abdrakhmetovich is a member of the Supreme Council for Reforms under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Centre for Analysis and Monitoring of Social and Economic Reforms under the Presidential Administration, a member of the Higher Scientific and Technical Committee under the Government of Kazakhstan, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas".
