2The ENQA General Assembly was held at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, on 26-28 October 2022, and was attended by IQAA staff, including President Kalanova Sh.M.
The plenary session addressed the themes of quality assurance in transnational higher education and global perspectives on quality assurance, bringing together representatives of higher education agency networks from Africa, South-East Asia and the Gulf States.
On the second day, three breakout sessions- on quality assurance in distance learning, the link between quality assurance and recognition of foreign higher education qualifications, and a session on future perspectives on Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)- were organized.
A Certificate Award Ceremony was also held during the General Assembly, where IQAA President Kalanova S.M. was presented with a certificate of reaffirmation of full membership of ENQA by ENQA President Douglas Blackstock (previously an official letter from ENQA President confirming full membership of IQAA in ENQA had been received on 2 May 2022).
