The article discusses the practice of conducting ratings of universities in Kazakhstan. In particular, the methodologies and methods of compiling university ratings in 2 organizations – NCE RK "Atameken" and "Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education – Rating" (IQAA – Rating) are considered.
The rating of universities in Kazakhstan was first published by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education-Rating (IQAA-Rating).
IQAA-Rating is one of the 9 founding organizations in 9 countries that have joined the international organization IREG (Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence).
IQAA President Sholpan Kalanova notes that universities are primarily interested in the rating.
