Participation of IQAA leadership in the II International Forum "Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge"

On October 31, 2025, the 2nd International Forum of Strategic Partners in Education and Science, "Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge," was held in Astana. The forum brought together heads of foreign and domestic universities, representatives of international accreditation and rating agencies, the diplomatic corps, government officials, and academic community delegates. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the plenary sessions.

IQAA representatives participated in the forum's plenary and breakout sessions, discussions, and the meeting of the Council of Strategic Partners. This participation provided an opportunity to present domestic practices in accreditation and ratings, as well as expand their network of international professional contacts.

The main topics and highlights of the forum were:

— The role of international partnerships and branches of foreign universities in improving the quality of education and training personnel for high-tech industries;
— The impact of artificial intelligence and digitalization on the architecture of university programs and graduate competency requirements;
— Quality assessment practices, international accreditation, and harmonization of standards; discussion of the contribution of partner companies (including ETS) to the development of national knowledge assessment systems;
— Priority areas of cooperation in applied areas include water resources, biomedicine, engineering, and digital technologies.

Participation in the forum provided our Agency with a valuable platform for exchanging experiences with leading international partners and enabled us to identify specific steps to modernize accreditation and assessment procedures. We are expanding our international activities and are ready to implement joint projects in priority areas for the country.
