Panos Linos
Panos Linos is a Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Butler University in Indianapolis. He has founded and directs the Center for Applied Software Engineering Research (CeASER), where he conducts joint research with his students, colleagues and local IT companies. His research activities focus on software maintenance and revitalization, complexity analysis and measurement, quality assurance and testing. He has taught courses on Classical and Object-oriented Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance and Testing, Software Maintenance and Evolution, Programming Languages, Database Management Systems and CASE Tools. Panos has also initiated the EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service) program at Butler University where software engineering students are engaged in long-term, realistic team-based IT projects for non-for-profit organizations. Before joining Butler, Panos was a Professor and the Chairperson of the Computer Science department at Tennessee Technological University. He is a former or current consultant to Bucher+Christian, Sallie Mae, Kaman Sciences Corporation, Athens Metropolitan Water Company, US Navy and the Naval Research Laboratory. He also conducts short re-tooling seminars for IT professionals.
