David Schacht is senior vice president and chief information
officer for the Indianapolis-based real estate development
and management company, Simon Property Group, Inc., the
world's largest publicly traded retail real estate company.
Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, Simon Property Group
is a self-administered and self-managed real estate
investment trust which, through its subsidiary partnerships,
is engaged primarily in the ownership, development,
management, leasing, acquisition and expansion of income-
producing properties, primarily regional malls expansion of
income-producing properties, primarily regional malls,
Premium Outlet­® centers and community shopping centers. It
currently owns or has an interest in approximately 300
properties in North America and holds interests in
approximately 50 properties outside of the United States.

Mr. Schacht joined Simon in 1997 as director of application
development. He was later promoted to vice president and was
named to his current position in March of 2000. He
previously served as senior consultant with The Morley
Group, and held several managerial positions with Resort
Condominiums International for 12 years.

Mr. Schacht has served on panels for several industry
conferences hosted by the International Council of Shopping
Centers, Urban Land Institute and TIDMA and currently is on
the board of directors for TIDMA.
